Parking in Kraków can be a challenge. It is an old town, with small narrow streets. Originally it was designed for pedestrians and horses – not cars. Street parking is available along the sides of some roads and on pavements where marked. Parking is signalled is by this sign:

in zone A – PLN 6 for the first and each of the following hours
in zone B – PLN 5 for the first and each of the following hours
in zone C – PLN 4 for the first and each of the following hours

Paid public parking is paid between 10:00 to 20:00 Monday – Saturday, and it starts at 4 PLN per hour in zone C, rising to 6 PLN per hour in zone A. Buy a parking ticket from one of the many bilingual vending machines and display it in your car window. The machines accept coins (polish zÅ‚oty currency only) and credit card payments.

Guarded parking just outside the walls of the old town. 130 spaces available. Price are 10 PLN per hour during the weekday. Weekends and holidays 12 PLN per hour.
